Pick your battles Grammie... you never know what gift you might be given...

Days like these are hard.  The rain has been threatening all day and when it finally hit, it was fast and furious, and it's still going on.  This will ensure no time outside tomorrow too.  It's slowed a lot but that hasn't stopped the feelings of frustration that they can't go outside, they can't get any yardwork done and they are having trouble with all the pent up energy.  

Even though they have been entertained with Daddy and their video games, the littles are restless and irritable. (Does rain do that to you too?) 

I always worry about spending a whole day with video games.  Is it doing anything productive for them?  Yes, it gives them some fun and bonding with daddy but how much are they really learning?

Grammie sat back and took a  listen.  

Laughter? ✔

Daddy, king of all video games, teaching good techniques to improve their game?  ✔
Youngest Little making his "special" popcorn for everyone and feeling like a big man ✔
Happy hearts for all. ✔

So is a day of video games so terrible?  Probably not.  Would I want that all the time?  Definitely  not.  But for today, I think I'm happy listening to the laughter.  

Pick your battles ladies.  Sometimes a day with daddy, all day Marvel Marathon and good bonding is worth letting it go every now and again.

No matter what your "chore" is that you don't care for, find the blessing in the burden! There's always a plus to something.

I despise dishes, but I know when it's done, it's a wonderful space for me to cook a great meal for my family that they'll appreciate and will nourish them. I know it sounds hokey, but cooking for them really is my love language!

 Good morning! It's time to talk dirty!

We are all busy and fitting in all the dirty tasks isn't always simple. And aren't there so many! Floors, walls, bathrooms, laundry, kitchen, making beds, changing sheets, and just general tidying - and it's relentless! Never a break.

Honestly, I don't really mind it. But there is one... just one, that I despise.... can you guess?

Welcome!  

If we haven't met yet, welcome! My name is Lissa Ballard, creator of Club BMG!  So glad you're here!

A little about me... I am momma to 3 amazing grown men (when that happened I'm not sure!), and two grown  amazing heart adopted kiddos, one guy and one gal!  I'm grammie to 3 bio littles, two boys and a girl and heart grammie to many more. While I don't get to see my granddaughter as often as I would like, I do get my grandsons from Thursday through Tuesday every week.   

I'm a big sister to one amazing gal who has been my lifelong bestie (Thelma to my Louise!) and am fortunate to call several of the most amazing women I've ever known my heart sisters.  They are all so different and all more than fabulous!  I began my professional life at 22 as a first grade teacher.  After moving to NC from VA, I took a position as a credit manager for a large jewelry corporation.  From there I had a few different administrative type positions and worked my way into something I found a great love for - Lead Electrical Sales Engineer for General Electric specializing in control and small projects ($200K and less). 

I had my third son in 2000 and was injured shortly thereafter on the job.  Unfortunately it ended my career outside the home.  Fast forward to  2026, I'm now a Stephen Minister, I sing in the choir and I'm a director with Pampered Chef.  Everything I do, I do with God and for my family.  They are truly my world. So, as you can imagine, I'm always busy!

                   

So let's chat about Club BMG!  What does Club BMG stand for? 

Club Busy Mommas and Grammies!

Our focus, to start, is all about our Summer Survival Guide and introducing Club BMG! To kick us off, we'll be focusing on building our group, surviving the beginning of a sizzlin' summer and winning lots of goodies - yep - FREE.

So that's what it stands for, but what IS Club BMG?

Club BMG is a brand-new, always FREE community for women who are juggling family, work, grandkids, activities, and everything in between. Whether you're raising little ones, helping with grand littles, or simply love finding ways to make family life a little easier, this is for you! 

Inside Club BMG you'll receive a monthly newsletter, simple meal plans, easy recipes, fun family activities, product specials, helpful kitchen tips, contests, giveaways, and early access to upcoming offers—all shared in our private Table community and delivered electronically too.
